SYRINX / ABOUT & BRAND

About & brand

A little more room to think.

Why Syrinx?

The syrinx is a bird’s vocal organ. The name suggests a shared place for many voices: a browser and the tools people build around it.

Syrinx is an open-source Windows 11 browser, written in Rust. Microsoft Edge WebView2 renders its web pages. The project is built around vertical tabs, a shared command palette and a public plugin interface.

Press description

“Syrinx is an open-source browser for Windows 11 where your tools open as tabs.”

Forge, Notes, Fledge and third-party plugins are coming soon. The website’s browser compositions are illustrative previews, not screenshots of a verified release.
